Ask . . . the mystery writer and former CEO, teacher

Fred J. Abbate of Moorestown, former president and chief executive officer of the New Jersey Utilities Association, has crammed several lifetimes into one. Not only has he held numerous executive and managerial positions, including for Atlantic Electric, Abbate, 67, earned a doctorate in philosophy from Columbia University, and has taught philosophy at Rutgers University and New York University. Abbate also served as the state chairman of the March of Dimes from 2005 to 2007.
