Memoir Relates City Woman's Life of Faith

Oklahoma City resident Vada Lee Barkley's new autobiography, "My Awesome Journey with Jesus" (PublishAmerica, $19.95), lets the reader know what shaped her life as a Christian.
The 87-year-old retired college professor writes of her childhood in Arkansas. She was active as a musician in Christian meetings from age 13. Her family's trip to California in an old automobile to visit a dying relative is straight out of "The Grapes of Wrath."
