Local woman writes mystery novel

A youth pastor’s assistant may seem like an unlikely person to write a mystery, but Jessica Baughman of Brookville has authored her first novel and it will keep readers intrigued right to the end.
The book’s main character is a 17-year-old high school senior who discovers not only that her new English teacher is running from a deadly secret, but in helping her she discovers a few things about her once sarcastic and “tough” self.
