Recently, D.L. Carroll, also known as Darlene Lynn Carroll, announced the release of her new novel, West Coast Lady. How long do you think it took D.L. Carroll to write her novel and get it published?

Before she became a novelist, D.L. Carroll was a business writer. She wrote letters of recommendation, executive correspondences, and presentations. Then she went on a sabbatical near the end of 2006. Her inspiration to write a novel took flight when she was on Yahoo and came across a contest announcement challenging readers to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days.
