Los Osos Author's Book a Holiday Treat

Jim complains he’s 32 and not married. Galen, his neighbor and friend says, "You’ve become so selfish to know or care about anyone else. That’s why you’re so lonely." And then he offers Jim an adventure that would restore compassion to his friend’s life.
Galen and Jim are characters in 1225 Mistletoe Lane, a newly published Christmas book by Los Osos author Lenny Castellaneta. But if you think this sounds like another Scrooge story, you’re wrong. The book jacket, however, does promote, "Brimming with nostalgic humor and sharp cultural commentary, 1225 Mistletoe Lane adds a contemporary twist to a hollowed holiday theme and reaffirms the Dickinsonian notion that we are all just ‘fellow passengers to the grave."
