Book Club Celebrates With Cake
Guardian Journal, March 15, 2007 by Suzanne Ford
In February members of the "Plots and Pans" woman's book club celebrated their 5th birthday at the library. They had cake and discussed it too. Ornage Marmalade Pound Cake was served after the lighted "5" candle was blown out and Happy Birthday was sung. While enjoying this delicious confection, they began discussing the book chosen for that month which was "Whatever It Cakes," a mystery by local author and club member, Joyce Shields Colvin. Having the author of the book present was a special treat for the ladies. Joyce happily answered all their questions and welcomed their comments about the book. Joyce shared a little about the books she is currently writing. THe next meeting will be March 20, 2007 at 6pm.
