Former Garrett author will sign copies of latest publication

LAVALE — Catherine Donaldson, a 2000 graduate of Southern Garrett High School, will sign copies of her second published book, “Radiance and Shadows,” at Waldenbooks in Country Club Mall today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The book is a sequel to “The Captains Marshall: A Promise of Freedom,” the story of two cousins who sought freedom in a world that belonged to men in the early 1660s. Challenging the society of their time, the young ladies escaped to sea in a ship built by their fathers and took to a life of piracy.
