Local author pens story of abuse

Springfield author Linda Sommer Farley recently published "A Childhood Taken Away By A Mother and Grandfather" through Publish America. The sixth of eight children, Farley writes about growing up in a family where she was emotionally and physically abused by her mother and sexually abused by her maternal grandfather. As she writes in her introduction, "... Hopefully, what I have been through will help others."
