Journalist writes book on Stalingrad

Andy Gallagher, a seasoned West Virginia journalist with high-profile duty at both major wire services, has parlayed his longtime interest in history with a focus on World War II into a book looking into the horrific battle of Stalingrad.
Due out next month, Gallagher’s four-year effort, titled “The Ghost Army,” zeroes in on what he feels was the oft-downplayed, if not at times overlooked, dominant Eastern Front of the second global conflict.
