As far back as Orléans author Lynn Gauker can remember she wanted to write.
As a young girl, she was enthralled by the Nancy Drew series of books, getting caught up in the mystery and suspense. At age eight, she wrote her first story - complete with crayon drawings - about a young girl's life.
