Baruch freshman publishes mystery novel

At 18-years-old most of us are just on the brink of adulthood. The most we can say we've accomplished is finishing high school, maybe taking on a summer job or starting our first years of college. But, Jenny Gurvich, an 18-year-old Baruch College freshman has just recently published a book. How many of us can say that?

Gurvich, who is surprisingly an undecided finance and investments major with a minor in English, was not a writer all her life. A high school teacher discovered her hidden talent during a mandatory poetry assignment. Her very first poem went on to be published after winning a contest and she has been writing ever since.
