Local Writer publishes children's poetry
Caldwell Watchman, May 24, 2006 by Randy Braddock

Poetry is a special written word that only a special group of people can write. Caldwell Parish has one such person, Kathy Martin, who has written her first collection of children of poetry. Kathy's Castle of Poetry for Kids of All Ages, is poetry that kids can understand. The book tries to reach the minds of kids as young as three years old to the age of seventeen.

Martin has been writing poetry for most of her life. Her work has been published in threee poetry anthologies and several internet based poetry websites. Her first book Kathy's Kaleidoscope of Poetry, is available from her publisher, Publish America, or online from Amazon.com or other online book sellers.

According to Publish America, Martin's latest poetry "reflects Martin's growth as a poet" and reflects her ability to "put poems in words that kids can understand." Martin adds that she writes poetry because "it not makes me happy, but because I enjoy making other people happy and, hopefully, inspiring them through my poetry"
