Author: Amid terror, there is hope
The East Arlington resident's new collection of essays takes on the darkness of war.

Some see this era of global terrorism as dark days, even apocalyptic days.
But one East Arlington author doesn’t see the darkness. In fact, he believes it could be “the dawn of a new age of cooperation and respect.”
Roland Marke, who grew up in war-torn West Africa, believes the world is becoming so interconnected that heavy-handed political diplomacy will give way to real communication and cooperation.
