The first thing Kevin Paglia ever wrote was an alternative ending to the Alfred Hitchcock film "The Birds."
While Hitchcock gave no reason for the creatures' odd behavior, the then-8-year-old Paglia thought aliens made more sense.
"I had a UFO cause the birds to go crazy," he said.
