Author Announces New Book

Parrsboro: Good things come to those who wait and Donna Sheehy has waited 30 years to see her name on the jacket of a book.
Donna has recently signed a contract with PublishAmerica for the collection of poems reflection the wildlife, cultures, lifestyles, scenery and legends of the Bay of Fundy and Nova Scotia.
“I feel like I’ve been or better yet like I really want to go!” was one statement made in a review by a critic from the Lighthouse Literary Reviews and the following statement from Erika Staples author and Poet of “Piece of My Soul” and “Spirals of Nature”; “Romancing on the Bay of Fundy is a collection of poems that take you on a journey to Nova Scotia. I taste the maple, smell the salt, hear the ocean waves, and see the landscape in my mind as I read each line.”
Although “Romancing on the Bay of Fundy” is Donna’s first published book, the author has been writing for 30 years. Donna is currently working on two children’s books along with a romance mystery.
“Parrsboro has been very inspirational for me, the scenery here is like no other I have seen anywhere else I have lived,” Donna said.
The following is an excerpt of the outline in the writers book, “with our beautiful pebble beaches, high tides, rock faces, spectacular views, all surrounded with lovely evergreen, maples, and blueberry fields, it is indeed the most captivating area I have ever seen.”
Donna expresses her creativity through artwork as well as writing. Throughout her book there are a few of examples of Donna’s talent. In addition to artwork displayed in the book this writer/artist has a variety of work she has completed including all the illustrations in the children’s books she is working on.
Once Donna has a release date for her book she expressed her eagerness to make an appearance at the Parrsboro Library for book signings and readings.
