Local writer publishes mystery

Heidi Shepard is something of a renaissance woman.
Throughout her adult life, she chose not to limit herself to one vocation. To date she has taken on the roles of wife, mother, bus driver, kindergarten teacher and dog groomer. Now she can add author to the list.
Shepard's book "Wicked Illusions," a mystery, will hit the shelves in the coming weeks. The book was inspired while Shepard was sitting by the lake. It contains a few familiar Chilton County spots in a quest for whodunit.
