publishes story of his Pratt layoff

WALLINGFORD — Bob Tassmer sent out 250 query letters and manuscripts before deciding the big publishing houses weren't for him — or his book.
"Life Saviour" sat waiting since its completion in 1995. The novel is based on Tassmer's experience being laid off from job as an engineer at Pratt & Whitney in 1993 and how he found happiness away from the job.
