Local Voices 2: A walk, a meal and author finds first story
Batavia Daily, August 22, 2009 by Ben Beagle

Trips to England have inspired a new children's story by P.A. Wolcott of Silver Lake.

The Fox, the Badger and the Bunny: A Dales Tale (being released today by PubishAmerica) is set in the wilds of the English Pennines and tells a story of finding one's inner courage, and the lesson that things are not always as they seem. The book's characters are all animals.

"Having visited England many times, I was quite taken with their national walking trails," said Wolcott, a retired carpenter from Rochester Local 85. "I decided that I wanted to actually walk one or more of these trails myself."
