A Hurricane, A Killer, and Jimmy Buffett
Tempting the Tempest by Nikki Wood is a wild ride.
Trans World News, March 17, 2006
Nikki Wood's first memories of a hurricane are from Frederick in 1979. At the tender age of five, she got her first taste of the incredible destructive power the storms can have. Growing up on the Alabama Gulf Coast and spending time along the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida, Ms. Wood had plenty of first hand hurricane experience. After graduating from the University of Mobile with degrees in psychology and English, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and pursued a degree in veterinary technology from Columbia State Community College. Now, she works as a team lead and vet tech for The Farm at Natchez Trace in Franklin, TN. When she isn't playing with her furry friends, she writes. Her first novel Tempting the Tempest was released in February by PublishAmerica.
