At 81, Nyda Wrightsman decided it was time to put pen to paper and publish her first novel about life during the Great Depression

Nyda Wrightsman feels that things could be a lot worse than what the nation is facing right now.

"With the recession nowadays, people think they have it bad, but back then we had less and we were happy," she said.
