Becoming...Poems and Prayers for the Process
"Becoming......" began many years ago with a simple prayer to be used by God. To allow myself to be molded into whatever He wanted me to be. I began journaling, writing down what I was learning from Scriptures, expressing feelings, and voicing life experiences. This led to poetry and prayers from my heart, sharing these with friends. They encouraged me to continue. Others were helped from depression, loneliness, sorrow, grief, and bitterness. Even while in the midst of their storms, people can see the hope of Christ shine through. As we look at our personal process and journey with Jesus, we should share what God does in our lives, from the refining fires to the outstanding blessings.. And then, pick up our neighbor and help him carry his burdens. I pray we allow ourselves to remain moldable and usable, always thankful for the process of becoming.
