anyway, keeper of Souls revolves around Gabriale Trenton, the feared Keeper of Souls. Gabriale has no memory of the night she murdered her mother and her mother’s lover, and since her options are either to hang for it or be locked away forever inside Bedlam, she jumps at the chance to escape. Even if it means impersonating a student at an all boys academy so she can commit murder. It’s while she’s there that Gabriale, along with new found friends, begins to realize that she’s caught the attention of some dangerous people. An alchemist has been stealing Supernatural souls and selling them to normals. Enraged, the Supernaturals declare war. Rumor claims that a legendary monster, the Salamander, can change the tide of the war for whoever captures it. Gabriale not only finds herself caught in a war she wants no part of, but her past has finally caught up with her, and she won’t be able to escape from it again.

Uncertain Times
7/21/2008, 10:12:30 AM
"Uncertain Times" will be published in the near future.

"Uncertain Times" is an offbeat, frenetic ride on the literary wild side with the kooky residents of a small, isolated community (Uncertain) on the banks of mysterious Caddo Lake in East Texas.

It’s a hearty, romping read -- mystery, romance, and chick lit -- with bubba overtones, with every page offering up heaping helpings of Southern humor.

Adnijio Benjamin Franklin Jones is a nature photographer inflicted with terminal ADHD. He finds himself stuck in a one-road-in, one-road-out town with only his best friend Bob watching his back. As Adj’s conscience, inner voice, or battling psyche, Bob has an opinion of just about everything and voices it incessantly. By turns, Adj and Bob (the world’s only stuttering conscience) trade verbal fisticuffs, exchange insults like drinking buddies, and give each other psyche hives.

Adj, a local mystery woman, and Bob become a ménage a trios to duel a cast of characters right out of Southern Stereotype Casting . . . and, in the end, all the good people and bad apples in Uncertain get what they individually deserve.

Sunset on Polygamy Author Trying a Hand on Poetry
7/15/2008, 1:14:03 PM
Joseph R. Alila, author of the anthropological novel "Sunset on Polygamy" is trying his hand on poetry with the soon to be published title "Rateng' and Bride." Alila's courage to plunge headlong into this new adventure has been encouraged by the ease with which his pen sang in between his prose in Sunset on Polygamy. He believes that like singing, eating, or breathing, Poetry is something all of us a re born with; it is the study of Poetry which belongs with Poets; writing poetry need not be by "certified" Poets.

'Coping With...' Leaps and Bounds...
7/11/2008, 9:33:34 AM
...When, this author offered to give a signed copy to Bostons' WEEI-850 sports-radio icon, Mikey Adams, of the 6pm to 11pm time slot, known as "The Planet Mikey Show", well, not only did Mikey say, 'sure', but the whole staff wanted a copy of their own! This is because the author himself is from Boston, and most of Mikey's support-team loves a good historical murder mystery. So, with the promises of telling their family and friends about it, then a half dozen copies were sent to the station. And-now? Well, WEEI has a "Coping With In-Laws And Outlaws", (ISBN No. 1-4241-1171-4), evening book club going on.
Also, the author has noticed that allot of readers are buying his book from second-hand on-line bookstores and he appreciates this, except for the sake of monetary residuals and much needed popularity ratings with the publisher, then he'd rather see people buy brand-new copies from Publish America's bookstore instead. Anyhow, he thanks everybody for their loyal support ...including, Publish America and fellow authors that have inquired about the true "Old West", at: tray1881@aol.com

Letters To Sarah Moves Up To Number 31 At Buy.Com
6/27/2008, 1:18:53 PM
Today June 27 2008 his third book "Letters To Sarah" (ISBN13#9781604412703) is ranked #31 among Publish America books sold there. With the improvement Darin Wesley Gosling (the author) is seeing greener pastures when it comes to sales of his third book of poetry. He has stated that "Letters to Sarah" is a better quality book in his opinion than his two previous books which were also published by Publish America Inc. If you would like to buy any of his books you can do so at Buy.Com by searching by ISBN number, the titles (which are listed at the bottom of this article), or his name.

The titles of his three books are as follows in chronological order:

1.Title: Angelic Verses
ISBN13# 9781424149490

2.Title: When the light flickers
ISBN13#9781424157242

3.Title:Letters to Sarah
ISBN13#:9781604412703

As there are many places to purchase each of his books and many third party vendors he does recommend Buy.Com as one of the most reliable, Barnes & Noble is another one, and if you are a Canadian Chapters Indigo is by far the most reputable.

Also you have to remember that Publish America Inc. also carries all of their books in their store. You can place your order by phone or through their website.

Its Not The Praise Of The Masses But The Individual"s Enthusiasm
6/20/2008, 9:04:44 AM
Although his book is doing fairly well, T. Ray Dickerson is finding out how exciting it can be when the individual reader poses questions about the characters in his short, western romance-mystery novel. In-which, that means it is catching their full attention. But, the historical societies and book clubs are allot of fun too.
~Coping With In-Laws And Outlaws~ ISBN No. 1-4241-1171 ...And, Q & A's are provided about the true old west at anybody's fingertips, at: tray1881@aol.com This is for the enjoyment of both the readers, and fellow authors alike. (And-so, anyone can pursue the mystery of history).

4 star review for Shadows and Secrets
6/19/2008, 11:13:06 AM
4.0 out of 5 stars In the style of Steven King, June 17, 2008 By Debra Gaynor "Debra Gaynor" (Hawesville, KY USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
James Watts
Publish America, 08
ISBN; 1-60474-816-8
4 stars
[...]
James Watts begins his book, Shadows and Secrets, with a nightmare, a deadly nightmare. Ray returned to town to bury his mother. The whole family turned out for the funeral. He had an eerie feeling. The sound of glass wind chimes and the howl of coyote haunted his nights.
James Watts' style reminds me of Steven King and John Saul. Fans of horror will enjoy the way he weaves a frightening tale of terror. Do not expect to solve the answers to the mysterious events with logic; only Watts' imagination could create such fearsome creatures and events. The tempo of Shadows and Secrets slowly builds to the climax. Fans of horror will be enthralled by Shadows and Secrets.
My third positive review. Also as of today, Shadows and Secrets is listed #62 amongst PA books at buy.com

A Burden Has Been Listed
6/16/2008, 9:50:28 AM
Frede'Rica's first publishing. "A Burden Has Been Lifted" has been released.

This book is about a politician who encountered cult representatives at a Chicago convention, and their intersection changed his life forever. The group convinced him to take a trip to Israel with his wife. Although his family strongly objected, he moved his immediate family to Israel and joined the cult. The group painted a beautiful picture of their way of life for the politician. As time passed by, he then realized the painting was just a big dream. This ordeal destroyed the once close-knit family forever. This book is based on a true story. It makes you think twice about taking life for granted.

"The Fabulous King Family And No Not The 60's Entertainers..."
6/16/2008, 9:48:14 AM
It is 1912 and it is a Kansas City, MO divorce and murder mystery. With-some, old and retired famous western outlaws & lawmen as the tenants whom get to tell their yarns. Cordelia King, the boarding house manager, she protects these elderly men from her jealous and rough-neck ravished husband Volney to the point where, she ends up kicking Volney out! Except, he's not all that bad. Thus, the start of this intriquing and somewhat deadly story. (AND WHAT ABOUT THEIR 4-CHILDREN? THEY DEFINITELY HAVE NO SAY NOR CAN THEY SING!) But is it historically accurate? Yes, according to three historical societies that ordinarily won't deal with Western-Romance Fiction.
ISBN No. 1-4241-1171-4 ~Coping With In-Laws And Outlaws~ Having fun with American history ...and especially, promo-ing this book! And as a bonus, if any authors out there need advice about the "True Old West", then T. Ray Dickerson is your source at: tray1881@aol.com OH! And Thanks P. A.!(seriously)...

...Yes, it is 1912 and sadly all the characters have since passed away. Yet, according to three historical societies, several book clubs, and now awaiting a review from a charasmatic group that has shown great interest in its unorthodox storyline ...then, "Coping With In-Laws And Outlaws", ISBN No. 1-4241-1171-4 is starting to break through and show its true colors. Enjoy America's awesome history and if you have questions about the real Old West, then the author can help at: tray1881@aol.com Thanks P. A.!

Cathy Davis Gibson, Author of "This Song... How to Hear the Voice of God" ISBN #1-4241-9863-1 will be appearing on and promoting the book on Channel 13, KCPQ Seattle as the before and after model for Northwest Face, a plastic and reconstructive surgery center who helps former victims of domestic violence. "This Song... How to Hear the Voice of God" is not your usual "how-to" book, but the "how-to" is told within the story of much of the Author's life who first heard the Voice of the Lord at age 12 during summer church camp. But as soon as camp had ended, she began going through a series of serious traumatic events and her life circumstances led her to eventually become the victim of a domestic partner's abuse. She had suffered for many years waiting for him to repair bones he had broken in her face--the entire left side of her face was crushed, her nose was smashed and she had many scars. One day, she left him and ran to a motel room where she frantically searched for a Bible. Upon reading, she remembered everything and began hearing the Lord's Voice again. Soon after, the Lord spoke to her about writing "This Song" to help many others and He eventually led her to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence who contacted Drs. Julie Voss and Ludwig Allegro of Northwest Face who provided their expertise--all of Cathy's plastic surgery was done on Charity! Again, that's Channel 13 KCPQ Seattle.

...A temptress wife, a husband who's weapon is his fierce gripping hands and fists but has a new-found love for his Colt .45, many presumed to be dead criminals, and a whirlwind of witness protection candidates. A modern day CSI? Nope it is 1912 and it is a derived from a real, divorce and murder case with historical accuracy. At least a few western historical societies, mystery book clubs, and several modern fiction readers would agree with this modest statement.

Shadows and Secrets

AUTHOR: James M Watts

Shadows and Secrets is a terror narrative set in an undersized Alabama town. Ray Sanders gets a disturbing phone call in the middle of the night and is informed of his mother's death. Ray returns to Maple Grove to tend to her funeral arrangements. Upon returning home, things begin to happen that threaten Ray's sanity and he’s pushed to the depths of his emotions and physical being. He has to figure out the strange happenings so he can keep his sanity. He ascertains the reality of his family's past, and the secrets that have been hidden for a very long time. Ray is required to make a stand. He must stand against a wicked and evil opposition that is unknown. He has to put a stop to this evil that has beleaguered his family for generations. In the end Ray finds a deeper strength inside himself to keep his emotions together and he discovers a way to put an end to the chaos that has plagued his family in the past, and putting a stop to the damage that it tries to lay upon his future generation as well.

This book is a must read! If I say any more it will destroy this unique and original ending. Don’t miss out on this amazing fictional horror adventure that will leave you wanting more. I give Kudos to James M Watts, for a fast paced thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat even after the story is finished. WOW! Excellent read.

Silence of the Knight
5/19/2008, 1:44:15 PM
Well.... for starters, Silence of the Knight is my very first book. Ever! Growing up I was always reading sci-fi and action books like the "Remo Williams" series. As near as I can tell, the female cop lead in the story, Jamie McAllister is a kick butt, ask questions later kind of cop. I am totally thrilled to be apart of the Pubish America family, I am still hard at work on my second book with Detective Jamie McAllister and laying out ideas for a third book with her as well.

Book Signings And Readings

Meanwhile, James A. Freeman (pictured, right), professor of language and literature, published Liars’ Tales of True Love (PublishAmerica, 2007), his sixteenth book and a follow-up to his 2004 novel Parade of Days.
Set in Newtown and other Bucks County environs, the book follows a vagabond group of characters who love to read and thus form an illicit book club. They live out the novels they read while on the run, also struggling with real life tragedy and lost love. In addition, the book’s narrator is grappling with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease and wants to record his stories before he forgets them. It’s a scenario that resonates with Freeman.

“My father has what he thinks is a touch of early Alzheimer’s, and his older sister has it,” says the Newtown resident. “He’s afraid of losing his memories, so he inspired me to create the narrator for this novel.”

Like Parade of Days, royalties from Liars’ Tales of True Love will be donated to a scholarship fund in memory of Ray Reilly, a Bucks student who died at a young age. The scholarship benefits a student with a physical disability or financial hardship.

Freeman, who has been teaching at BCCC for more than two decades since leaving his native California, is back in the classroom this spring teaching English composition, creative writing, rhetorical skills and philosophy. To learn more, contact the author at 215-968-8155 or freeman@bucks.edu.

Except For Technology ...In Perspective, Has the World Really Changed All That Much?
5/16/2008, 9:16:51 AM
For most Americans, without doing any research but instead depending on the Hollywood Westerns on the T. V. and at the movies, (just like the author did while he was growing up), then one could assume the majority of outlaws and lawmen of the old west were drunk all the time and since they were riding the cow-trails with their cowboy buddies for months at a time then, quite often their sexual preferences must have come into question. Never mind their lack of morality when it came to shooting another person and either injuring them for life, or killing them! But guess what? Just as travel, and communications were dragged out, so was a man's annual pay. And for many a man, and woman, in the old cow-towns, instead of their pay being weekly, sometimes it took months for them to collect.

MST student, publishes poetry book “The Scratch of the Scribe”
5/12/2008, 12:02:29 PM
Charles Robinson, a student of the IST department at Missouri S&T is having a book published by Publish America. The book is titled The Scratch of the Scribe.
Charles says he began writing when he was 18 and still writes today. In February of 2005, his first manuscript was completed and was copyrighted with the US Copyright Office. He submitted his work to a few publishers, and Publish America LLLP agreed to publish the work.
The book Scratch of the Scribe took nine years to complete from start to finish. This book is a collection of poems that varies from romance, travels, nature, religion, depression, and other varieties. Robinson says “I came up with several working titles to the book and finally settled on Scratch of the Scribe. At the time I was working for Barnes & Noble College Bookstores and one of their logos was the scribe, and considering that most of the poems started as basic scratching or scribbles on napkins/scrap paper, I thought the title would be somewhat appropriate.”
Robinson adds, “My main inspiration came from watching the movie Dead Poets Society and the books of Psalms and Proverbs in the Holy Bible. The audience of this book is fairly vague. It has a little something for everyone, The Romantic, The Traveler, etc. I am currently working on my second book of poems, which again touches on romance and life. I really would like to move in to some short stories eventually, but right now this is the best way for me to be expressive.”
Robinson has provided a sample poem from his work called Summer’s Sun.
Summer’s Sun

A tingling sensation
Falls upon your face,
Your body becomes
Wrapped in an invisible blanket,
There is an unseen touch of warmth
That encompasses your body.

You gaze around
And you see that you are alone.
Finally, you look up
and there You find
who you have been Searching for;
you smile and… The Sun smiles back.
