Iceland!
Our First Convention!

Our
first convention was a wonderful trip to Iceland, attended
by authors and PublishAmerica staff. In Iceland we were
greeted by the President of Iceland, who welcomed us
into his home, and spoke to us at length. He congratulated
us for bringing our authors to his country, and showed
us remnants of the Vikings, Iceland's first inhabitants.
He also reminded us that his people, the Vikings, had
discovered America 1000 years ago, which was 500 years
before Columbus. But, he said, that unlike us, the Vikings
had had the good sense to leave!
PublishAmerica
staff and authors also saw whales, dolphins, geysers,
and even ate bread that was cooked underwater, in a
boiling hot water spring. It was a very unusual and
interesting trip!
