This week PublishAmerica is making a big splash in the middle of the North Atlantic.

A delegation of 40 PA authors and editors is visiting Iceland to celebrate the release of the first three titles of local daughter company PublishIcelandica.

They will be welcomed on Saturday by Iceland's president Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson in his residence.

And on Sunday it will be formally announced that PublishIcelandica has contracted one of Europe's foremost award-winning authors, Thórunn Valdimarsdóttir.

Iceland's 2000 Culture Prize laureate, Thórunn is a celebrity author in Europe, having won nominations for the Scandinavian (Nordic)Literature Prize twice. PublishAmerica and PublishIcelandica have acquired foreign rights to her award-winning novel Girl With A Finger.
