For novelist, writing is 'what I was meant to do'

SORRENTO -- Sometimes, dreams do come true.
When Colleen Avelli decided to work full time on a novel, she began having a dream she used to have as a child.
In the dream, Avelli could see a house, a garden and a family of 10 siblings, always the same and in color. A girl roamed through the homestead looking for her older brother. Right before there was a reunion, Avelli would wake up.
