FITCHBURG -- Polly Blodgett wrote her first poem at eight years old, as a girl living in the city's Cleghorn neighborhood. Now, at 35, she's published a book of poems.

The poems, "The Passionate and Lonely Soul," discuss Blodgett's relationships with family and friends, and expose what she said is a hidden side of her.
