Memories : Historian publishes another book

Velda Brotherton, a well know local writer, has another book being published, “ Fly With the Mourning Dove, ” by PublishAmerica. Brotherton said the story takes place in New Mexico just after the first world war. It is a story about Brotherton’s second cousin Edna Smith Hiller. Edna, who is 93 today, relives her younger years in this story that depicts the struggles of a family in the arid high desert country of New Mexico.
