Did You Hear? Branchville native shares cautionary tale of time with Atlanta's Police

In 1997, Branchville native and Atlanta police officer Joseph Buskey decided he’d seen too much corruption among his fellow police officers to not do anything about it.
“I would come home with these stories, and my wife, from listening, would say, ’This can’t be true,’” Buskey said. But watching officers paraded across the television screen in nightly news broadcasts, being accused, arrested, fired and put on trial for unlawful acts, made it a message that seemed that much more important.
At the urging of his wife Madge, Buskey began jotting down events he saw unfold before his eyes in a department that was sworn to serve and protect its citizens.
