Tribute to late wife
Bridgeton News, February 10, 2007 by Jaime Marine

MILLVILLE -- Donald E. Clendaniel Jr. just wants to tell his late wife's story.

He made a promise to his wife of 19 years on her deathbed that he would.

Susan J. Clendaniel passed away in 1998 at the age of 39. The mother of two sons had been diagnosed two years earlier with malignant mesothelioma, caused by exposure to asbestos fibers.

"One thing she wanted to do was be able to go to court and tell her story to a jury," Clendaniel, who eventually settled with asbestos manufacturers, said. "She didn't get that opportunity. I promised her on her deathbed I would tell her story for her."
