Financial analyst budgets time for novel writing

Sean Bender, the writer protagonist in Scott Delo’s new mystery novel, lives alone in a Manhattan apartment and has enough money and free time from his writing career to run off to Maryland to investigate an old friend’s suspicious death.
But North Potomac author Delo had to fit writing his fourth novel ‘‘The Lights of Annapolis” into a full life that includes a wife, two young daughters and a full-time job as a financial analyst for the federal government.
