Geologist gets down to business in new book / Cypress author draws on his experience to inform, educate

David DesAutels, who works for Noble Energy Inc. as a manager in development geoscience, never really meant to write a book.
It was months of jotting down notes while working in Bogota, Columbia, as vice president in geoscience for Occidental Oil and Gas during late 2006 and 2007 when DesAutels realized he had a book in the making.
