Caregiver recommends journal writing to cope with stress

When Mercia Fiore could not sleep because of her father's restlessness at night after suffering a stroke, when her father tried to eat a boiled egg - shell and all - or when he tried to sing a German Christmas carol with tubes in his throat to help him breathe, she dealt with her emotions the best way she knew how.
She wrote everything down in a journal, whether it was just a few lines or several pages.
