Compass Coffeehouse to launch Barbara Foley Book Tour with historic slideshow
Tale of a summer romance that blossomed at Peninsula Park in early 1900s

Door County Compass, July 21, 2006 by Steve Kastner

"The Door to a Man's Heart" is the true story of two teenagers, Warren Rogers and Betty Yule, who meet during the Great Depression while camping with their families in Peninsula State Park. Together, they formed a pact that kept their summer romance alive and eventually united in marriage for over sixty years.

Author, educator and their daughter, Barbara Foley decided to work with her father Warren - after Betty's passing - to commemorate that union, sharing the couple's love story and a vast collection of historic photos in creating "The Door to a Man's Heart."
