Kennebunk Town Column -- June 26
Kennebunk Town Column, June 26, 2008 by Shelley Wigglesworth
Kennebunk resident George Lambert has a newly released book. "Brothers and Heroes," is a memoir of Mr. Lambert's six brothers, who all served in the military, beginning in World War II. George, the youngest of eight boys, was less than 2 years old at the time.
Each chapter is devoted to a brother, beginning with the oldest, and working its way to the youngest. The chapters begin with a photograph, service number, date of birth, enlistment date, (date of death when applicable), and notations of awards and medals earned. Then comes a brief narrative, with inside commentaries from the kid brother's point of view.
