Many business books begin with an accounting of the reasons why the reader needs to know the information held within the covers. Protect Your Good Name! by Marion’s Steve Groner is no different, but his evidence is certainly more effective than most.
Mr. Groner, who owns Information Security Education LLC, a company that conducts informational seminars for consumers and businesses about information security issues, begins his book about protecting against identity theft with some alarming statistics, including the fact that 27.3 million Americans were victims of identity theft between 1998 and 2003.
