Mystery with a moral
- Author Janet McGuire Hendershot will make two North Central Florida appearances this week to discuss and sign her new book "Backyard Burial."
Hendershot was raised in Miami and has been a resident of Old Town since 1989.
In "Burial," Matria McCoy, a 9/11 widow, tries to exonerate her potential love interest, John Fleming, after a body is found in his backyard.
"Backyard Burial" is one of several books Hendershot has written, which she calls "moral mysteries," where sex and profanity are absent and the plot is the main focus.
Hendershot's appearances this week are:
- Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dixie County Library, Hwy. 19, Cross Creek, 498-1219
- Friday, 1-5 p.m., Luther Callaway Library, 104 N.E. 3rd St., Cheifland, 493-2758.
