After retiring from a career of being a quality assurance analyst and feeling that retirees are obligated to travel, and those of a certain age must give unsolicited advice, his columns range broadly and humorously through trips and relatives and construction and weather and any number of disconnected events. On rare occasions he has serious ruminations, but he recovers quickly into more of the nonsense forbidden in his career, or more accurately, careers.
