Patsy Culp Hull of Farmerville has recently published "An Arranged Departure: From a Mere Sharecropper to an Angel Escort to Heaven, One Christian Woman's Difficult Journey Through Life."
The book is the memoirs of the life of Hull's mother, from her early difficult childhood, her young married life as a sharecropper, the birth of her 11 children, the death of four children and her husband and her own death from ovarian cancer at age 90. Throughout her trials, she never lost her faith and never questioned God's word.
"An Arranged Departure" also describes angelic experiences the author and her sister encountered the night their mother passed away.
Hull is a published poet and has written many poems and songs. She has always had a love for writing and expressing her thoughts and feelings, especially about people and real-life incidents.
The strength, willpower and love of her late mother was her inspiration to write her first book.
