Not all of LaDonna Bond's poems stem from her own experience. Some are loosely based on incidents in friends' lives, and some are entirely fictional, told in the voice of imagined characters.
But the subjects explored in "Simply Life: A Book of Poetry for Today's Woman" make it clear that the writer is no longer a dreamy girl or idealistic young wife destined for a rude awakening.
