Local author writes 'what she knows'

The Corner Bookstore serves as an appropriate place for a meeting with a published author. Leigh Leary sits on a cream colored couch in a long, black dress, her orangish-red hair down, looking as if she is at home surrounded by books.
Leary says she grew up in a family of avid readers. “I grew up on Nancy Drew,” she says. While attending a Christian high school, one of her teachers introduced her to books and authors outside of her school reading list.
