Oakfield man explores Native American heritage through fiction

OAKFIELD — It pays to be ready when inspiration strikes.
Many of the ideas that have spawned poems, stories and songs have come to Don McClelland while driving to work or in the middle of the night.
Grabbing his ever-present notebook, the Oakfield man quickly jots down a phrase or melody while it is still fresh in his mind.
