Delaware places, people -- fact, fiction
The News Journal, November 2007

From Meeta Gajjar Parker's "Cookie the Clown" (2007). Real clowns travel from Clownika to Delaware and integrate into our society and culture, becoming minorities in our world. Cookie attends Springer Elementary in Wilmington. "When the first fall arrived, it was time for Cookie to go to school in the new world. Cookie was a long way from her Schoolum in Clownika, the place where only clowns live. Cookie was excited and wondered what school would be like in Delaware." (Contributed by Frank Parker, husband of the author.)
