Anyone who has met Stephanie Sawyer or read her book knows her story. For years, she endured poorly controlled complex-partial seizures. Sawyer reacted to thde seizures with shame, fear, and anger. She ultimately turned to music to create a "safe zone" in her life. Playing the piano expressed and realeased her emotions, creating an inner strength that allowed her to conquer despair.
