The Sun is Hot: Inspirational Poetry is a compilation of poems written by the author. The general theme of these poems is living through and rising above pain, suffering, and challenging experiences. Within these works, however, is an intriguing amount of depth. For instance, a particular poem may lay out the raw pain and suffering of an individual’s experience. The work then leads the individual beyond that negative place into a state of growth, of strength, and personal power that is truly inspiring.

However, as the reader continues through the poems, he or she suddenly comes to the realization that process described in these works also relates directly to our society: the pain and suffering that exists in today’s world and making movement towards changes to get beyond these problems. Again, truly inspiring.
