Sidney Daily News, May 10, 2006
Sidney author Tamara Shepherd currently is promoting her new children's book, "Evan, The Warrior of Nod." The book tells of the adventure of Evan Isenar, his sister Greta, and friend Moze. After moving to a new country Evan has trouble with fitting in at the new school because he is so different. Evan is permitted to visit Umbraes Old World Artifacts Museum, where his parent's work, and the three children step into an adventure, discovering what life can be like on their own. When Greta becomes lost, Evan and Moze must search for her, but they will have to be determined if they want to find her. This is where the true adventure begins. Bonds are made and true friendship is gained all because of one boy's curiosity.
Shepherd was born in 1970, with four older brothers and one older sister. She attended Covington High School and has two years of pre-nursing education from Edison Community College. She now resides in Sidney working as a full-time author. "Evan, The Warrior of Nod" is her first novella.
The second book in the series will be "Evan and The City of Eliquo."
