Hollywood author publishes novels that hit close to home

Joyce Marie Taylor’s art does imitate her life, but the names have been changed to protect the innocent....and the not-so-innocent. A local author and longtime Hollywood resident has already two published novels under her belt and is currently working on Number 3 and 4.
Born in New Jersey, Ms. Taylor moved to South Florida at the age of three and settled in Hollywood for good in 1970. Always a lover of the written words, she didn’t discover her talent for writing until later in life when a close friend challenged her to compose a poem. With her interest in writing sparked, Joyce enrolled in Creative Writing Courses at Hollywood Hills High School at night while working a ‘real’ job as an advertising liaison representing 47 major newspapers nationwide.
