Fort author publishes first of three novels
Fort Saskatchewan Record, July 22, 2009 by Tessa Clayton

Fort Saskatchewan resident Kricket Thomas has published her first novel.

Blazing Glory: Clandestine Beginnings (Book 1 of 3) is a science-fiction story about Earth in the year 2296 and the new menace that is emerging for the Global Senate to deal with. It follows a group of elite individuals and a senator who is struggling to protect what humanity at that date has fought for — freedom, love, peace and life.

Thomas, 25, said she doesn’t really know where the story idea came from.

“Movies, books, I don’t know — I just thought up a plot,” she said. “I honestly don’t know where it came from, it just kind of came from everything that I took from everywhere.”
