Book Signings and Sales

" "I love what PublishAmerica did with my manuscript. When I saw my book in print my joy was unmeasurable. Thank you so much for making a life-long dream come true. My mother cried and my sister asked me to send her some because she wants to sell them to all of our hometown friends. She thinks we are going to be rich. My husband didn't believe in me, but now he does. He wants me to hurry and finish the second one. I now have a legacy to leave behind for my children. Thank you to the entire staff at PublishAmerica. You have my deepest gratitude." "

" "Once again PublishAmerica has done a beautiful job on the cover of my book. This one, a novel, "The Lost Red Patriot," was the subject of a book signing at my Fairview, Ore., church on April 27, 2007. It and my first book, "Pure Sawdust," and their covers received lots of comment. However, only a few compatriots bought books and I was wondering why. I discovered later that several of my fans had already purchased them over the internet after receiving PA's early mailing. I was, of course, thrilled. Good show,PublishAmerica." "

" "Just wanted to inform everyone that I'll be at the Holiday Inn in Seguin, TX this weekend. A lot of the people in town wanted me to do a signing for the second book. So I'll be on KWED radio, they want to do an interview before the signing. Also I just wanted to say hello to all of the other authors that I met this past weekend at the San Antonio College Book Fair." "

" "I just had to write to you all and tell you how wonderful my book looks and reads! Thank you all for the opportunity to work with you on this dream come true! I will not hesitate to return to you for the next installment of the characters in Whispering Darkness. I have had a truly wonderful experience with each of you. As for the cover, I have had numerous people tell me that they would buy it on the merit of the cover alone because it looks so beautiful! As I've read through the book upon its arrival, I am so pleased with it completely that I couldn't help but cry! LOTS!!! I'm passing your name around a lot because of the success you've allowed me to enjoy. Thank you for all the work you have done and will continue to do. You're the best!!" "

" "I had a book signing Saturday, March 31st at the Lakeville Public Library at 4 Precinct Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. I sold nine books and enjoyed the day meeting people. I was asked to talk at the Lakeville Writer's Group. Olivia Mello, the library manager, scheduled me to instruct a Beginning Writer's Workshop on May 19, 2007. The day was a plus!" "

" "When I'm not writing, I work for a SW company in Northern CA. To my surprise, the company sponsored a book signing event for me, during work hours and on company property, where I was able to meet many employees who came by to wish me well or congratulate, and - I sold over 50 copies of my novel!! What a rush !!!" "

" "I had a book signing at our church and raised over $2100 for youth ministry. It was totally awesome. We donated all of the proceeds for this first booksigning as it is good to do and a good way to get the word out." "

" "Just a few minutes ago I received a call from a complete stranger asking to buy my book from me. She has seen the standard PA press release in a local weekly paper. I had to tell her it was currently being printed but would be available soon. This is the second call I've received in regards to that press release. They didn't even print any contact information for me, so these people are going to the effort to SEARCH for my phone number! I'm starting a list of people so I can invite them all to a book signing. I'm still awaiting my author copies, though... Hurry up! Anyway, I'm just floored by the early response. To be honest, I thought the PA comment that a book's success starts with a local following would not really apply to me, since my book has nothing to do with my local community. Slowly, I am becoming a believer!" "
