Book Signings and Sales

" "My novel has been doing great. I've had over a half-dozen interviews in a 4 month period, and am going to be on the radio soon to promote it. PublishAmerica has really done a fine job with this book; and at my recent signing, sold 5 copies in 15 minutes!" "

" "Sometimes it's just too easy! I took my book to my business networking group and now I not only have a book signing, but a speaking engagement in February! Never hesitate to 'show off' your work. If you don't promote yourself, no one else will." "

" "There's something very satisfying about selling your books at a signing. Just knowing that the contents of your book could bring hope and help to someone makes preparation time worthwhile. During the Christmas season, I got a job at my local Christian bookstore. Imagine my thrill when I got to sell the copies of my book to customers. One of the customers was the live-in girlfriend of Isaac, who is mentioned in my forward. (I helped give him CPR after he got shocked with many volts of electricity.) She gave me a hug and thanked me (for his life and for the book). It was an unforgetable thrill. The other customer brought my book to the counter and talked about loving poppy seed bread recipes. I said, "You know, there are no recipes in this book. It's poetry and prose." She said, "I know. I thumbed through it for a long time." Then she said something to the effect that she really liked the contents. I turned the book over and revealed that I was the author! Again, this is too much fun for one redhead to have!" "

" "I am truly happy with the way PA did my cover and my book. I want to take this opportunity to thank them for giving me this great opportunity. I am a Published Author! I have been busy this week doing some marketing and I have two newspapers in my old home town that said they would run my information in their newspapers, yea, yea, yea! I even had a Bookstore say they were going to order two copies for thier store and see how things went before they will order more and let me have a book signing. I was really excited about this. Again, thanks PA and all the PA authors for the support I have received." "

" "Thanks to all readers of old-fashioned ghost stories. On a recent visit to a local Barnes & Noble, I discovered that even though my book (For Those Who Wait in Darkness) was positioned at the bottom of a far rack, I found a single copy left, which tells me clean, family, mystery/fiction has never been out the window and continues to draw readers like flies to a spider's web. Thanks P A and B & N. God's timing never ceases to amaze me." "

" "The dreams just keep on coming true! I had a wonderful time at my first booksigning at Barnes and Noble in the Gateway Courtyard in Fairfield, California on Saturday, December 9. I really enjoyed meeting all the readers who stopped to talk and most of them actually bought my book! This is an experience I won't soon forget and I am looking forward to more of the same and better. Thanks to Publish America my dreams are all coming true one by one. My book is now in stores all over the western United States! I have a sales rank at Barnesa and Noble and the book is dooing well at all sites online. Still floating with indescribable joy as I fine tune a final draft of nest book." "

" "This is the email I received from the television producer and staff who came to my home for the interview and filming on Nov. 17, 2006: Gertie, Ok, I have you on the schedule. We will be showing a two part series "Girls Guide to Hunting" on December 21 and 22. There will still be a little time for archery deer season. On January 15 we will show the interview just about you and your book. Of course we will mention your website and the book after each story. It makes a great stocking stuffer. Thanks so much for letting us come out to your house. I had been looking for someone to do this story for quite some time. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. You had good advice and great stories. You are one amazing lady, Merry Christmas. Monica Bagwell Good Day Tulsa GOOD DAY TULSA airs Mon - Fri 9 - 10 a.m._________________ KTUL CHANNEL 8 Tulsa, Ok.
